Hello All!
I hope you are getting back into the groove of things after our fantastic winter break! We are halfway through our year. Please make sure you are moving along with your progress so that you will be ready to move on to the next grade level.
Since we are starting a new year, many people like to set new goals for themselves. I am going to list a few and I would like for you to share yours with the rest of the class. I will be sharing these goals at our next Monday Meeting at 1:00.
Well my first goal is to get into better shape.... My youngest child is now two years old so no more blaming it on "baby fat". The kids and I have started working out at the gym as a family thing so that has been helping. My second goal is to read at least 5 classic novels. I am currently reading "Uncle Tom's Cabin". It is slow going by I hope to be finished by the end of February.
So now it is your turn... What are some of your new goals for this 2012 year? I can't wait to read what you have planned! Oh and another goal is to keep this blog going.... I am going to shoot for updating at least once a month. Be sure to remind me at our Monday meetings. We can even talk about what we should post. :)

So long summer 2011
Welcome back to school OKVA and OVCA students!!
I am so glad to have you in my class this year! I hope you had a fantastic summer filled with fantastic memories! Our family had a chance to head west this summer for a few weeks... CALIFORNIA beaches to be exact!!! The weather was fabulous and we did not miss the 100 degree weather that Oklahoma was having one little bit. Here is a picture of my husband Tony and our two sons Zachary and Max heading for the beach.. My daughter Rory hung back with me...

Wicked Weather May 24, 2011
Last night was a scary night for many of us in Oklahoma!
We spent most of the evening glued to the TV.
We had the kids calmly pack a backpack with a few days worth of clothes and some toys. We gathered up some snacks for our stay underneath the stairs.
We waited until about 9:00 and then we heard the sirens and made our way to our "safe spot". Although from looking at the pictures of the homes that were hit, I didn't feel safe. The winds blew hard as the rain came down. We were lucky enough not to experience severe weather here!

Oklahoma State Tests
Hi there!
So as we continue testing for two more weeks, tell us what you have thought so far. We cannot mention any items that were on the test but did you feel prepared, were you nervous, was it better or worse than you expected? Did you get a chance to meet any new friends? I was Tulsa bound and got to see some of my students. We didn't get a chance to visit too much but I enjoyed meeting and seeing all of you. So tell us your thoughts.....be honest but be nice! :-)

Hi there! Today is April 1st... known by some as April Fool's Day. What are some April Fool's jokes have you played or have been played on you. Mine was.. when I was little, I switched the sugar with salt. My dad did not appreciate that fact that he had salty coffee. :-)!

I hope you enjoyed your time off! I know I did. But regret has begun to set in. I had planned on working some of the time but was enjoying the break so much I just didn't want to get too close to the computer. It has a way of sucking me in!
I did enjoy a good book though on my new Kindle app.
Let everyone know how you spent your time off!
